Ricci began her career as a young child actress for her performances as Wednesday Addams and Addams Family Values (both 1993) in The Addams Family and as Kat Harvey, in Casper. Ricci's journey into roles for adults was first seen in The Ice Storm in 1997 which it was followed by her critically acclaimed role in The Opposite of Sex in 1998. For this performance, Ricci won a Golden Globe nod for Best Actress. She continued to be successful with her appearances in Sleepy Hollow (1998) and Monster (2003). Ricci played the lead role in Black Snake Moan, Penelope and Speed Racer. She also was in the film with Liam Neeson opposite After.Life.
